A true breeder’s dream: a homebred horse competing at the magical arena of CHIO Aachen. Last week, John Whitaker entered the 8yo class aboard Jignipes Eickenrode (Zirocco Blue VDL out of Heartbeat Z by Heartbreaker x Acord II x Calando I, Holsteiner line 206 of Lord Z). After a clear round and placement on Tuesday, another 0-result followed in the second qualification round on Thursday and the combination thereby ensured a ticket to the final on Saturday. We were invited by the owner to visit Aachen to see John Whitaker and Jignipes Eickenrode jump their first 1.50m course. We are very proud and thankful for this incredible experience!
