Sunday night April 9th, a colt by Harley VDL out of our National Mare Championships mare Boracific VDL elite sport-spr PROK (s.Indorado) was born. This foal descends from the renowned Holstein lineage 474a. The colt received the name Magnifico Eickenrode, Latin for praise. Magnifico Eickenrode was sold to an esteemed sports stable at the Dutch Top Foals Auction.
Magnifico Eickenrode was crowned champion of the jumper foals at the Foal Inspection of Terschuur and also got invited to the National Foal Championships in Ermelo. An impressive achievement, especially when looking at the quality and the high number of competing jumper foals. The jury had nothing but praise for this elastic foal: “A well-developed, appealing colt with a strong foundation and a beautiful front that trots and canters with so much ease. His movements display lots of supleness and in his canter he shows to change lead easily.”
